Nigerians have been urged to adopt the spirit of togetherness and love if the country is to progress meaningfully.

Professor Yemi Osibanjo, the Vice President, made the plea over the weekend in Owerri, at the solemnization of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s daughter, Oprah, and her husband, Henry Ohaeri, at Maria Assumpta Cathedral in Owerri.”We need unity and love in Nigeria,” the Vice President added, linking all of Nigeria’s issues to a lack of unity and love. These are the ingredients that would make Nigeria a better and more powerful country.

We may all benefit from understanding the facts and values of marriage.
“In marriage, two persons from various walks of life are brought together and become one.” Nigerians should learn from this.”Earlier in his sermon, Most Rev. Anthony J. V. Obinna, Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Owerri Archdiocese, warned that “insecurity still pervades the region,” adding that there was nothing on the ground to indicate that the end was near.

“We live in a land nearly overrun by insecurity, with no end in sight,” he says. Nigeria is in a state of emergency, and we can feel it here.
We must all repent Archbishop Obinna says by decrying the country’s glaring disparities and marginalization.
