Barcelona Football Club have reached an agreement with Leeds United in principle for the signing of Raphinha.
Barcelona confirmed the news of the Brazilian joining the club on its official website on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022. According to reports from the club, the deal has been settled but it is dependent on the player passing his medicals.
The Brazilian who has always wanted a move to Barcelona is expected to join the La Liga club after an improved offer was submitted to Leeds United. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Barcelona paid £63 million for the player which matches the expectations of Leeds’s valuation of £55 million, plus £8 million in add-ons.
The deal will be a big blow for Chelsea supporters who were looking forward to seein the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are looking at Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling as a replacement for the quest to sign Raphinha.
