President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his condemnation of the attacks on non-indigenes and law enforcement officials by “terrorists” in the South-East.
The president’s reaction came amidst reports of the slaying of six Nigeriens and the brutal killing of several police officers at their duty posts.
He urged community and religious leaders to ”speak more forcefully against the killings, stand up and defend the ethos of our cultural and religious heritage.”
Mr Buhari added, “Those who know should point at specific people who did this.”
He expressed his regime’s unwavering commitment to peace and stability in the South-East and the entire country.
He offered his condolences to the families of the security agents murdered and the government and people of the , whose nationals were killed.
